Emma Stonex // The Lamplighters

During an unexpected heavy sea mist I spent an afternoon on the Somerset coast with Author Emma Stonex. Over the last few months, the elements seem to be throwing up more challenges than usual. Perhaps in the age of the plague I'm noticing it more with having to shoot everything outdoors. I had a pretty fixed idea on how I wanted these portraits with Emma to look and I remember on arrival being a little disappointed with the conditions. The weather trumped all of my pre conceived ideas, although in hindsight I do now agree aesthetically with the eery direction it went for. Especially coupled with Emma's bright blue felt coat.
