The artist David Cranswick transforms earth, rocks, plants and bones into paints. I spent an afternoon with David at his beautiful studio secreted away at the top of a romantic crumbling tower within the ruins of the Cowdray Estate in the South Downs. The studio felt very renaissance in styling and the alchemy of creating his vibrant paints was fascinating. Burned Chicken bones for the colour black, I would never have guessed. Photographed for the magazine Artist And Illustrators
A recent portrait commission for the Guardian Weekend Magazine's Experience feature. Rich Clothier is a Somerset Dairy farmer who had his extremely valuable prize winning cheddar cheeses stolen from the prestigious cheese competition at the annual Yeovil festival. You can read the full article here. The above portrait was shot in between heavy downpours with a little bit of quick cow arrangement. The below image was shot at the Wyke Farms storage facility in Bruton.
Amy with her support dog Stanley the black Labrador. You are not allowed to play with Stanley when he has his working dog jacket on. He's pretty proud in his little blue jacket.
My recent portrait of journalist and political satirist P. J. O'Rourke

An interesting morning spent photographing Grant Harold former butler and member of the Royal Household of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales based at Highgrove House.
I'm very fond of this portrait taken towards the end of last year. It was actually shot during a break between other setups and ended up being my favourite photograph.
My portrait of the best selling author LJ Ross. Pictured at her immaculately tidy writing desk at home in Bath.
I photographed the Italian road bike frame builer Marco Bertoletti for Cyclist Magazine in Bristol last month.
The bespoke bike frame Marco is using as a prop in these images is an 'IL 58' model. Built using 'grade 9 titanium frame'. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but at the best part of £6000 I presume it's a very capable bike in the right hands.
Marco spoke no English and I speak no Italian, I've become very adept at communicating directions through gesticulation, although it's highly likely I appear somewhat manic to the subject.
My portrait of Novelist and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz.
Holly photographed at the Oasis Academy in Bristol. Part of a wider feature on artists in residence in UK schools.
