A recent commission in Dublin to photograph behind the scenes at the kitchens of the rather luxurious Merrion Hotel. I spent a couple of days with the executive chefs and their teams documenting the work across the two Michelin starred Patrick Guilbaud restaurant and the Garden Rooms restaurant.

Some recent commercial photography shot for the Welsh Government and their latest Organ Donation awareness campaign.
Wales has instigated a wonderfully progressive opt out Organ Donation policy, however with the new legislation came many instances where families over-rode the decision of the donor, or did not support deemed-consent for organ donation. This latest campaign was aimed at getting people to discuss their personal donation decision with those closest to them. The aim being to clarify peoples feelings on the subject so that their wishes can be carried out rather than overridden. The photography aimed to illustrate the issue of family members speaking on your behalf albeit against your original wishes and stressing the importance of discussing your intentions before it's too late.
The photography brief required a variety of emotional, engaging portraits with a view to exchanging the mouths of the subject to illustrate the idea of someone else speaking on your behalf in your absence.
Over the last couple of years I have had the opportunity to shoot behind the scenes with the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car project on a number of occasions. The above is a small collection of my favourite images from these great commisisons, taken at their HQ in Avonmouth. The team and driver Wing Commander Andy Green recently took the car up to 200mph on a test run in Cornwall. The aim next year is to hit 600 mph, then 800 mph in 2019 with the final aim of 1000mph to be hit in 2020. An ambitious and exciting project to follow.
An image from the Craghoppers advertorial photographed back in the summer. Phoebe Smith is a British adventurer and author who's written a book on her 'Extreme Sleeps'. She's set up camp and slept on the UK's highest mountain peaks and inside a WWII bomber wreckage. I struggle to sleep well in a Travelodge, that's my idea of an attempt at an extreme sleep.
An outtake from a recent commercial photo shoot for the Welsh Government. Shot in the Llanberis valley in Snowdonia.
The nights are drawing in, Summer has left us. Living vicariously through imagery shot earlier in the year.
Guy and his very beautiful Collie dog Brave. This portrait was shot for the British Heart Foundation Magazine 'Heart Matters'. Guy was only 29 when he was diagnosed with a heart valve problem. He was fit and active, training as an amateur boxer when he started struggling with exhaustion and heart pain. Guy has written about his experience over on the BHF website.

Recent advertising work, photographed for Nuffield Health's Gym Group.
Some of my photography used in last year's Welsh Organ Donation campaign. A brilliantly progressive campaign and change in law, let's hope England follows suit soon.
