My portrait of Lance corporal Semesa Rokoduguni sat on the back of a British Army Jackal. Semesa is an English rugby union player currently playing for English club Bath, and soldier in the British Army.
Longborough Festival Opera and theatre director Polly Graham.
Mariella Frostrup photographed for You magazine at the end of February.
A recent magazine commission took me to Aardman animations HQ in Bristol to photograph Peter Lord. Peter is a British animator, director and co-founder of the Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations studio, best known for its clay-animated films particularly those featuring plasticine duo Wallace and Gromit.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his very tasty Vegan Christmas dinner, cooked up at the River Cafe in Bristol.
My portrait of Cliff Jones the lead singer with the 90's band Gay Dad. Cliff has written an interesting article on money and the music industry from the band members perspective. The gilded Louis XV lit de mariage bed Cliff is sat on in the portrait above is one of his 'fortune eating' extravagant purchases featured in the piece. Very nice it is too.
An image from the Craghoppers advertorial photographed back in the summer. Phoebe Smith is a British adventurer and author who's written a book on her 'Extreme Sleeps'. She's set up camp and slept on the UK's highest mountain peaks and inside a WWII bomber wreckage. I struggle to sleep well in a Travelodge, that's my idea of an attempt at an extreme sleep.
My recent portrait of journalist and political satirist P. J. O'Rourke
Plum Sykes pictured at her home in the Cotswolds.
An interesting morning spent photographing Grant Harold former butler and member of the Royal Household of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales based at Highgrove House.
I photographed the Italian road bike frame builer Marco Bertoletti for Cyclist Magazine in Bristol last month.
The bespoke bike frame Marco is using as a prop in these images is an 'IL 58' model. Built using 'grade 9 titanium frame'. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but at the best part of £6000 I presume it's a very capable bike in the right hands.
Marco spoke no English and I speak no Italian, I've become very adept at communicating directions through gesticulation, although it's highly likely I appear somewhat manic to the subject.
My portrait of Novelist and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz.
My portrait of the actor Alan Cummin. Photographed last month in Cheltenham.
My portrait of comedian, writer and actor Sara Pascoe.
My portrait of the English novelist and screenwriter Ian McEwan, photographed last month.
I've arrived a little late to the party, but I'm very much enjoying the TV show 'Peaky Blinders at the moment. It's very pretty with a fantastic script and cast. Benjamin Zephaniah appears in the show as the brilliantly named street preacher Jeremiah Jesus. Seeing Benjamin reminded me to dig this portrait out I shot of him for the Times a while back.
